BIO OF Shumayta Marzia
Shumayta Marzia is currently working as an Environmental Management and Climate Change Specialist at the Centre for Climate Change and Environment Research (C3ER), BRAC University. In this role, she is involved in various environmental and social projects, with a primary focus on areas such as climate change adaptation, climate-resilient infrastructure, disaster risk reduction, displacement and migration etc. She completed her M.Sc. and B.Sc. (Hons.) in Environmental Science from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). Her research interests include environmental pollution, environmental monitoring, ecotoxicology, global climate change, climate change adaptation, ecosystem-based adaptation and so on. She has expertise in lab-based experiment, technical report writing, community level research and GIS.
