BIO OF MS. Samin Azhan Chowdhury

Samin Azhan Chowdhury is a Research Associate (Civil and Environmental Engineering) at the Centre for Climate Change and Environmental Research (C3ER), BRAC University. She believes the appropriate and balanced use of nature enables us to get the most from it. As a result, she has chosen to work in the field of climate change and environmental research. She has completed her graduation in Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) and is pursuing her post-graduation in IHE-Delft based Sanitation, both from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Sylhet. She has worked on several environmental research-based projects as a Research Assistant at University Research Centre, SUST. She is proficient in various hydrodynamic modelling software, data analysis and interpretation. Samin has four journal papers, two published and two under review, and four conference papers on wastewater treatment using bioremediation methods, renewable energy from tannery solid waste and wastewater-based epidemiology. She has received University Scholarship during her graduation and a scholarship from Bill and Melinda Gates foundation (BMGF) during her post-graduation studies.
