BIO OF Nibras Nilayum Reza
Nibras Nilayum Reza is working as an Environmental Specialist at the Center for Climate Change and Environmental Research (C3ER) of BRAC University. He has completed his B.Sc. in Environmental Science and M.Sc. in Climate Change & Development from Independent University of Bangladesh. He has more than 2.5 years of experience and have worked on a multitude of areas. He served as a Jr. GIS officer at International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT). He was involved as a Research Officer at International Centre For Climate Change and Development (ICCAD). He also worked on a PHD research project called “GCA Water and Adaptation,” where he was supervised as a Research Associate and carried out study activities according to protocols established by the research coordinator. He has worked as an Environmental Officer for consulting organizations. And has been highly involved in projects linked to field of environment. EIA report preparation as well as ESIA report preparation was among them. He has received training on EIA conducted under the Institute of Water Modelling (IWM). His bachelor thesis was titled “Hexavalent Chromium Reduction by Bacterial Varieties in a Packed-Bed Bioreactor,” while his master’s thesis was titled “Temporal Dynamics of Surface Water Quality at Haria Point, Meghna River.”
