BIO OF MS. Nafisa Nawrin Chowdhury

Nafisa Nawrin Chowdhury is currently working as a Research Associate (Civil and Environmental Engineering) at the Centre for Climate Change and Environmental Research (C3ER), BRAC University. She has completed her graduation in Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) from North South University with honors and achieved the prestigious distinction of Summa Cum Laude. She is a focused researcher with a working experience of around 2.5 years, summarized as a Graduate Research & Teaching Assistant at North South University & Junior Engineer at O.Creeds Ltd. Nafisa has research proficiency in environmental engineering/science & water resources engineering. During her tenure at North South University, she contributed to several internationally funded research projects including geomorphological changes of Surma River due to climate change, the assessment of multipurpose cyclone shelters in Cox’s Bazar, the evaluation of household waste management chain from source to end and the recyclable potential of Construction & Demolition waste. Additionally, at O.Creeds Ltd., she was engaged in various national projects and prepared comprehensive reports such as IEE, ESIA, EIA and feasibility studies. Nafisa is proficient in technical research, conducting field surveys, sample collection, data analysis and interpretation along with result dissemination. Nafisa’s scholarly contributions include one journal paper and six conference papers addressing topics within Civil & Environmental Engineering.
