BIO OF Mohaimin-ul-kabir
Mr Mohaimin-ul-kabir is working as an anthropologist at the Centre for Climate Change and Environmental Research (C3ER) of BRAC University. He has a keen knowledge of anthropological research that enables him to get a deeper understanding of different communities across the country. He has demonstrated insights on participatory research approach from early of his educational history as involve in participatory research. He also has expertise in research methodology, including both qualitative and quantitative research. His area of interest in research includes Climate Change and Anthropology, Environmental Anthropology, Ethnic Culture and Identities, Feminine and Gender, Trans-cultural Practice, Migration and Adaptation, Theatre Anthropology etc. His principal job responsibility in C3ER includes research on climate change adaptation, socio-economic assessment and technical assistance, find out knowledge from the social and biological sciences as well as the humanities and physical sciences, exploring the relevant kinds of literature and reference searches on issues relating to climate change, vulnerability and risk of Bangladesh. He also provides extensive support to prepare inception report, assist in preparing checklists on different aspects to collect primary data for prefeasibility, baseline and feasibility studies, monitor and guide the survey team to collect data from the field, contribute to prepare the draft final report and incorporate the comments and feedback received from the donor, participate in day-to-day operational tasks of the centre, such as servicing requests for information, support for developing presentations, updating of web pages on the section’s work etc. He also leads in designing both qualitative and quantitative research tools for different field investigations. Mr Mohaimin completed graduation and post-graduation in Anthropology from Jahangirnagar University. During his graduation, he also involved in the other research organizations such as BRAC University (C3ER), BRAC (Research and Evaluation Division), etc.  He was also joined at Innovision Consulting Private Limited where he attached with the tasks such as designing and coordinate different assessments, evaluation and surveys of the project as and when required, maintain proper documentation of all relevant research assessments of the project and make regular feedback on the challenges and scope of market system development to the team as project coordinator.
