BIO OF MS. Maisha Samiha Oishi
Maisha Samiha Oishi is an Architect passionate about working on climate-sensitive and disaster-resilient architecture. She started her career as a Resilient Infrastructure Architect at the Center for Climate Change and Environment Research (C3ER), BRAC University. She worked on “Disaster-resilient Floating house” project under C3ER, BRAC University, in collaboration with the Scottish Govt. and University of Dundee, Scotland, United Kingdom and “Disaster-resilient Floating School” project awarded and funded by the Munich Re Foundation. She learned the value of physical planning with sustainable environmental methods and policy in achieving sustainable development goals from her interdisciplinary undergraduate curriculum, which included courses in architecture, environmental planning, urban design, statistics, economics, civil engineering, conservation architecture, and natural hazard management.
