BIO OF MS. Jarin Tasneem Oyshi
Ms. Jarin Tasneem Oyshi has been professionally involved in climate change and environment-related research since 2017 at the Centre for Climate Change and Environmental Research (C3ER), BRAC University. She obtained her B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET). Currently she is pursuing her masters degree on Urban Climate and Sustainability (MUrCS) in Europe as an Erasmus Mundus Scholar. Her research focuses on climate change adaptation and mitigation, environmental conservation, sustainable development, climate finance and policy advocacy. She has made significant contributions in evidence-based research on climate change adaptation and mitigation options for Bangladesh, based on which she has been developing funding proposals for global climate funds. Furthermore, she contributes to national climate change policies, strategies, and plans, working closely with Bangladesh’s Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change (MoEFCC) and development partners.
