Ms. Moomtahina Rahman, Disaster Management Specialist at the Centre for Climate Change and Environmental Research (C3ER), BRAC University. She participated as a consultant in the “Youth in Climate Action: Shaping COP29 Climate Demands” event. It was held on October 7 2024, at EMK Centre. JAAGO Foundation organized this event.
Ms. Rahman as a consultant provided expert guidance to a diverse group of young participants from various educational institutions. It was helping them better understand the complexities of climate change. She led a team of 17 passionate individuals focused on ‘Climate Adaptation and Resilience,’ working together. The goal was to develop practical, actionable solutions to address the climate crisis.
The event fostered a dynamic exchange of ideas with young voices articulating bold climate demands. The aim was to influence the global climate agenda ahead of COP29. Through her mentorship, Ms. Moomtahina empowered the youth to translate their concerns into clear, impactful climate action strategies.
