Centre for Climate Change and Environmental Research (C3ER) at BRAC University collaborates with BRAC and maintains partnerships with various organizations to address climate change and environmental issues. It mobilizes resources and expertise from different university departments for research in adaptation and mitigation, focusing on areas like health, food security, poverty, displacement, renewable energy, and education. C3ER conducts training and public lectures on climate change and disaster management in collaboration with other university departments.
BRAC James P. Grant School of Public Health (JPGSPH) in Dhaka is committed to creating public health leaders through innovative education, training, research, and advocacy. JPGSPH focuses on social determinants of health, gender and rights, nutrition, WASH, environmental risk assessment, sustainable resource management, information technology, socio-economic development, human resources, and service delivery.
By principles of equality and mutual benefit, C3ER and JPGSPH have established an MoU for exchange and cooperation. The agreement covers educational research and development, training, and dissemination. Cooperation includes collaborative research, fundraising, joint research publications, dissemination for policy uptake, and other specified efforts. Both parties agree to abide by academic rules formulated by the Government of Bangladesh, adjusting them according to university acts and research institute laws.
The cooperative accord emphasizes collaborative research, exchange of scholarly and pedagogical materials, joint efforts in developing research proposals, and periodic evaluation of specific projects by both parties’ authorities. Shared rights to inventions, copyrights, and intellectual property arising from individual or joint efforts are recognized, fostering a collaborative and mutually beneficial partnership.
