C3ER at BRAC University focuses on climate change and environmental research, engaging in advocacy, capacity development, and knowledge management activities. Special attention is given to researching the adverse impacts of climate change on health, food security, poverty, livelihood, displacement, migration, loss and damage assessment, renewable energy, negotiation processes, technology transfer, education, and awareness.
Lankan Alliance Finance Limited (LAFL) is a licensed joint venture financial institution in Bangladesh, with multinational collaboration and majority stakeholder People’s Leasing Company (PLC), a subsidiary of Sri Lanka’s largest state-owned bank. Local sponsors include leading corporations like Summit Group and Brac. LAFL aims to provide user-friendly digital financial services and innovative technologies for safe and easy money management. C3ER and LAFL have agreed to facilitate exchanges and cooperation through an MoU in pursuit of equality and mutual benefit. The cooperation includes research and development initiatives, collaborative fundraising, dissemination for policy uptake, and other specified cooperative efforts related to climate change adaptation and mitigation.
