MOU SIGNED BETWEEN c3er, Brac University & GANA UNNAYAN KENDRA (GUK)

Brac University, in collaboration with C3ER and Gana Unnayan Kendra (GUK), has entered into a strategic MoU with a primary focus on advancing research and development initiatives related to climate change in Bangladesh. The partnership aims to collaboratively generate detailed climate change scenarios at both local and national levels, assess environmental impacts, and champion the design of inclusive and environmentally-friendly infrastructure. Key areas of concentration include the economics of adaptation, climate change mitigation, comprehensive disaster management, community-based adaptation, and local awareness campaigns. Additionally, the agreement encompasses capacity development for diverse groups, policy analysis for mainstreaming climate change adaptation, considerations for gender and climate-induced migration, and sustainable practices in natural resource management, water supply, sanitation, pollution control, and environmental governance. The success of specific initiatives will undergo joint and periodic evaluations by the authorities of both parties, ensuring effective implementation and impact assessment.
